The new graphic novel, “Becoming Andy Warhol,” written by Nick Bertozzi and illustrated by Pierce Hargan, seems to tap into some new ground by presenting us with more of the human being that was Andy Warhol (1928-1987). When a new book or movie comes out about him, we feel we’re dealing with something familiar. Along with a select few artists like Picasso, he has broken through, reached immortal fame with the general public.
His art, inextricably linked to his persona, resonates with us today on an uncanny level.
